‘4. Thistly Cross Scottish
City: Dunbar, Scotland
ABV: 6.9%
Sweet or dry: Balanced
Tastes Like: Lass o’ Gowrie, The Tower of Glamis, the Bloody Ploughman and other wonderfully named Scottish apples.
The Verdict: Dry and flavorful up front with a nice sweet finish, this Scottish apple cider is clearly one of the best.” – Paste Magazine

Southern Son

Made deep in the heart of Texas. This new Southern Vodka will start showing up in your cocktails across Atlanta soon. Try it at home!  “My recipe includes several steps that have proven to make the highest quality vodka. To start, I use 100% American Yellow Corn. I column distill Southern Son 10 times to produce the smoothest vodka possible. Similar to the finest Whiskey and Wine, I produce my vodka in small batches. This way I am able to monitor the smallest details and produce consistent quality in every batch. Not only does Yellow Corn produce a Gluten Free Vodka, but it gives Southern Son a distinct semi-sweet finish. My process results in extremely clean 80 proof vodka that I am proud to serve to the South.

I personally invite you to try Southern Son Vodka against any of the imported brands. I am confident that you will see that this American Deep-South taste more than measures up. So grab a bottle, grab some friends, and drink with Southern Pride!” – Master Distiller, Michael Pfeiffer

And, the Stingray Spiced Rum from the same distillers, brings a nice Vanilla spice to the category: “During the early 17th century piracy was rampant throughout the Caribbean. Thieves would commandeer the cargo of merchants, navies, and each other. As a precaution, people would hide their most precious cargo – their finest Spiced Rums – on the sea floor of the Caribbean where they were safely guarded by one of the most feared creatures in the ocean, Stingrays. Stingrays, the protector of the special reserve Spiced Rum barrels, became synonymous with the finest Spiced Rum in the Caribbean, and still are today.”

Rare & Limited Bourbons

Bourbon! Everybody’s talking about it and for all of you who have put your names on waiting lists year after year for the Bourbon whose name will not be named. These very limited, aged and very rare bourbons are a great way to join the conversation. Call us and reserve a bottle of one of these fine whiskeys:

Part of the Rare & Antique Collection:

Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey – Aged 6 years

“This whiskey is named after the New Orleans bartender who first used rye whiskey to make the Sazerac Cocktail. It’s bottled directly from the barrel, just as it was over a century ago. It’s full of rich flavors like candied fruit and allspice. Double Gold Medal Winner, San Francisco World Spirits Competition
Gold Medal – Best in Class, International Wine & Spirits Competition
Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible rating: 93 pts”

Eagle Rare – Aged 17 Years

90 Proof “Rye Recipe” Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
“This deep, burnished-gold whiskey has a somewhat fragrant nose and the aromas develop an almost wine-like character, with a hint of almonds lurking in the backdrop. The body is big and silky and the palate is far spicier than the nose leads you to believe, but there are also violet notes here, along with a touch of caramel and a hint of old leather. The finish is very leathery and very long. This whiskey earned a great rating, but lovers of previous bottlings of Eagle Rare should know that this seems to bear a completely different style – it’s far greater than the 10-year-old.” -Wine Enthusiast rating: 96 pts

Jefferson, Presidential Select – Aged 18 years

“Unlike the standard “small batch” releases, this is from a single barrel: a really good single barrel. I rated the 18 year old small batch a 93 in the last issue, and I like this one even better. There’s less wood getting in the way. It’s softer, more elegant. Lovely fruit, gently sweet (black raspberry jam, blueberry pie), with nougat, creamy vanilla, a sprinkling of cinnamon, and polished leather on the finish. And so drinkable. Classic stuff!” – 96 PTs Whiskey Advocate

Hirsch Selection, Special Reserve, Aged 20 years

“Hirsch Selection™ is a supreme hand picked series representing the finest spirits available; each chosen with connoisseurs of small batch fine spirits in mind; all aged to perfection in oak casks. Brilliant, deep copper color. Smells enticingly of buttermilk biscuits, salted butter, and fudge; the additional seven minutes of alir contact bring out roasted scents of almond paste, nougat, cornbread, oatmeal and caramel corn.

Chatoe Rogue: First Growth

From one of the leaders of the Craft Beer Revolution : Rogue sets precedents again with their First Growth (GYO) Grow Your Own series. Taking it a step beyond LOCAL, Rogue has plantings of Hops, Grains and now PUMPKINS and their very own HONEY bees that pollinate their Chatoe Rogue Hops.

Rogue’s Pumpkin Patch Ale may be the last to be released (with all the basics coming in August-September) Rogue has to wait until their very own Pumpkins are ripe for the harvest. So, stock up on an ALE fresh from the Pumpkin Patch.

Rogues 19 Original Colonies Mead is brewed with Jasmine and their very own Rogue Farms Hopyard Honey. 19 colonies of bees were carefully kept and fed just across the street from 40 acres of Rogue hops. Their honey was extracted, filtered and brewed as a jasmine-infused Mead. So, grab a Smoked Turkey leg and enjoy this Mead, Mead-evil style!!
