#1 : Hop Crisis
21st Amendment, San Francisco, CA
A little known fact about Hop Crisis, as this beer was once called Double Trouble Imperial IPA, but we changed the name when we learned that the name was already being used by another fellow craft brewery. The name, Hop Crisis was our Triple IPA and was named as a challenge to the hop shortage and price increase from a few years back where some hops reached $29 a pound. FREE the HOPS!!

This is where it all began. Our huge Voluminously-Hopped Mutha of a Pale Ale has been called “One of the quintessential American hoppy pale ales of our time” and was named the Top US Pale Ale by the New York Times. Dale’s Pale Ale started the change for what beer drinkers expect from canned beer.

#6 : Blue Moon
Blue Moon Brewing Co, Golden, CO
The beer is orange-amber in color with a cloudy appearance because it is unfiltered. It is also spiced with coriander and orange peel in addition to the hops found in most beers. Blue Moon has a more pronounced orange flavor than many other beers of the style, and also has a slightly sweet flavor.

#7 : Magic Hat #9
Magic Hat Brewing, Burlington,VT
Not Quite Pale Ale. A beer cloaked in secrecy. An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it.
